Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at a recent filming day! Our providers had the opportunity to partner with Yakima Health District and Field Group on an upcoming vaccine education campaign. We’re grateful to be part of initiatives that help connect our community with trusted health information. We can’t wait to share the finished videos with you once they’re released!

CHCW’s mobile clinic joined the Cle Elum-Roslyn School District’s Early Learning Round Up to support local families as they prepared for their children’s early learning journey.

The event offered developmental screening information, connections to early learning programs, and the opportunity for families to receive mobile clinic walk-throughs and vaccines.

Central Washington Family Medicine Residency Program is proud to recognize Dr. Florence Akintan, PGY-2, who has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Roy Virak Memorial Family Medicine Resident Award from the Washington Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. This award honors family medicine residents who demonstrate outstanding patient care and strong service to their communities.

Recipients are recognized for their commitment to advancing patient well-being and exemplifying the values of family medicine. Dr. Akintan was selected for her dedication to culturally sensitive care, professionalism, and compassion in serving patients and families.

Her work reflects the mission of family medicine to provide comprehensive, community-centered care. The Washington Academy of Family Physicians Foundation presents the Roy Virak Memorial Award annually to recognize residents who set a high standard for their peers and demonstrate meaningful contributions to the communities they serve. The Washington Association for Community Health (WACH) is hosting a three-part webinar series this March titled “Behaviorally Trained Providers Can Assist Health Centers to Deliver High-Quality Primary Care.” The series explores the integration of behaviorally trained providers into primary care and highlights innovative models that strengthen access and outcomes.

We are proud to share that CHCW’s innovation report is being featured in this series as a model of high-quality behavioral health integration – showcasing our approach to integrating behavioral health into primary care settings.

Additionally, CHCW’s PCBH Academic and Program Directors will be speaking during the series to share insights from our model and implementation experience. This statewide recognition reflects the strength of our integrated care approach and the dedication of our PCBH teams.
