The clinic adds new medical providers and expands its pharmacy
ELLENSBURG, WA – Community Health of Central Washington – Ellensburg is pleased to announce that it has added additional medical providers and expanded its on-site pharmacy. They welcome Kevin Walsh, MD to its primary care services team. In addition, the clinic has expanded its on-site pharmacy and is pleased to announce the joining of another new pharmacist–Rebekah (Becky) Calvert.
Walsh and Jentges are currently seeing new and existing patients at the clinic’s offices located at 521 E. Mountain View Ave, Ellensburg. Calvert is helping to improve the overall continuity of care of the clinic through medication education and ensuring more seamless and synergistic delivery of care to patients.
“We are expanding our Ellensburg location to keep up with the healthcare demand and growth of the Kittitas area,” says Mike Maples, MD, CEO, Community Health of Central WA. “Our new providers and service team members join our Ellensburg’s clinic with a wealth of experience and knowledge gained through years of providing primary care medicine, especially in rural communities.”
Walsh joins CHCW’s Ellensburg clinic as a board certified family physician and holds a medical degree from the University of Washington’s School of Medicine. He has been a family medicine physician for over 20 years in the Yakima Valley with Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic in Toppenish, WA. Most recently, Walsh was a staff physician at Seattle-King County Health Department’s Eastgate Clinic in Bellevue, WA, and also served as co-lead for their Patient Centered Medical Home Implementation Project, a collaborative group of clinical staff focused on building a care transformation model for the department’s 17 clinics.
Beginning in early July, the Ellensburg clinic has expanded its hours to include Saturdays, early mornings and evenings (Monday-Saturday, 7am-7pm). Walk-ins are welcome for same day appointments for minor illnesses such as coughs, colds, sprains and strains, and well women and well child visits.
