What do you enjoy most about working with children and families?

I love watching kids grow and learn new things and I love helping families learn how to adapt to all the new things at each age and stage.

How would you describe your approach to pediatric care?

I approach care from a systems perspective. Kids’ symptoms and behaviors do not happen in a vacuum they have families, friends, schools, and communities that impact their lives daily and it is important to understand that context to be able to help with any behavioral, health, and/or emotional support needs a child or family might have.

What’s one thing you want caregivers and patients to know when they come to see you?

That I LOVE pet pictures and will always say yes to seeing a picture of your critters. Also, I am a safe space for all individuals and families and I want everyone to feel seen, heard, safe, and supported when working in our clinic and with me.

What makes CHCW’s Yakima Pediatrics special to you or your patients?

I LOVE our patients! They are the BEST!! I also think we have a pretty awesome staff here because everyone cares deeply about our patients, this community, and the health and well-being of kiddos which is one of my values so I’m grateful to be able to work with people who have similar values.

When you’re not at the clinic, how do you like to spend your time?

Being creative. I love art and theater. I love reading and snuggling up with my cat. I also like hiking and going to local community events. I also like to volunteer and engage with events that give back to our community in a variety of ways.
