Mary Lyons, PA-C
Mary’s History

Education:
MSPA Heritage University – Toppenish WA
Experience:
Initial career 10 years in Radiology as X-ray Tech and CT Tech, mostly in Urologic specialty.
PA school included clinical rotations in many specialties; oncology, behavioral health, primary care, gynecology, urology, general surgery and emergency medicine to name a few.
PAC in Urology for 2 years including 1st assist in OR, and clinical care.
Personal experience has placed me in many learning roles as well including as the patient, as the parent of the patient, and as the child of the patient. These experiences have spanned those same specialties of the previously mentioned clinical rotations. This has been my most impactful wealth of experience, as it allows me to remember the feeling in the position of the patients and family members of those I am caring for.
Hobbies:
I enjoy thrifting and searching for antique non-fiction books, typewriters, alarm clocks, sewing machines. I enjoy restoring these things, and I even use my restored sewing machines to quilt. I love to make quilts with scrap or vintage fabric.
I aspire to..
be as amazing as my dogs think I am!
Why do you want to work for CHCW?:
I want to provide care that can include the whole patient and mind included. Currently I am confined to the Urology focus, and I constantly find I am veering off into someone elses lane with this confinement. I am so happy to find this clinical opportunity with such great mental health resources available. I had time to experience this first hand in my clinical rotations when I did my Primary care rotation at CHCW in Ellensburg! I was pumped to join CHCW then, but the right opportunity was not available yet.
