Education:

MEd. Behavior Analysis; MSW

Experience:

Most of my experience has been with children and their families in the elementary school setting. I have most recently worked as a school counselor for 6 years. I was also a Tier 2 Behavior Interventionist and worked in behavioral classrooms. I have worked as part of a multidisciplinary team that included PTs, OTs, and BCBAs. My specific role was to provide one-on-one, 2-hour ABA treatment sessions with kiddos in clinic and at home.

Why do you want to work for CHCW?

I want to serve people in personalized, meaningful ways that improve the quality of their day-to-day lives and reduce unwanted symptoms. I have spent most of my life in the Yakima Valley, and I am excited to serve my community and make a positive impact.

Hobbies:

Time with family and friends, gardening, hiking, being in nature, finding new adventures in familiar places, weekend trips, eating yummy food with people I love.

I aspire to..

Continually learn and grow as a human being and practitioner.

Fun Facts:

Favorite color: Green
Favorite music genre: Depends on my mood; I listen to almost anything
Favorite song: Changes depending on the season of life; it would never be modern country music.
Favorite movie genre: I like to be entertained when I watch a movie; I steer away from most horror, but I love dark comedy. Favorite movie: Movies I can watch over and over are The Princess Bride, The Big Lebowski, The Mummy; but that does not mean favorite. Favorites are almost impossible to pick.
Favorite book: Right now all I read are studies and textbooks … The first book that ever made me cry was Where the Red Fern Grows. Favorite mammal/reptile/amphibian: My very own fur babies! Cats, Roberta and Rose.
Favorite cuisine/food: Again, it depends on my mood, but I really love the flavors in Thai and Indian cuisine.
Favorite drink: Water; I also enjoy and look forward to my tea each morning 🙂
Favorite travel destination: My family and I love the Oregon Coast. It is easy to get to, which means less stress for me when planning and such. We would all love to go to Italy and Iceland, but it hasn’t happened yet.
