What do you enjoy most about working with children and families?

I love the continuity with families – getting to care for all of their children and watch them grow through the different stages of their lives. It is such a privilege.

How would you describe your approach to pediatric care?

o My goal is always to partner with patients and their families. I want them to feel heard during our visit, and I advocate tirelessly for my patients to ensure they receive the care they need.

What’s one thing you want caregivers and patients to know when they come to see you?

I strongly believe in preventative care to help reduce health disparities. I work as a team with patients and their families to help empower them with the knowledge, skills, and resources to pursue a healthy lifestyle and prevent chronic diseases while having a deep understanding of the context in which they live and play.

What makes CHCW’s Yakima Pediatrics special to you or your patients?

Yakima Pediatrics provides a supportive and collaborative environment to care for children. The entire team works together to provide excellent patient care and keep things moving throughout busy clinic days while still having fun. The behavioral health team is such an incredible resource that eliminates barriers to mental health care for our patients. I admire CHCW’s commitment to providing equitable care to the community and love being a part of this team!

When you’re not at the clinic, how do you like to spend your time?

I enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants, hiking, eating the delicious meals cooked by my husband; spending time with our dog and cats, reading, watching British crime shows.
