Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine

Philosophy of Care:

“The body is a unit; the person is a unit of body, mind, and spirit.” “Let food be thy medicine and let medicine be thy food.” These are my two favorite medical quotes. The former is from Dr. A.T. Still and the latter is from Hippocrates whom many consider to be the father of modern medicine. However, my favorite quote is from John Lennon, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” I realize that life happens and when it does this is why doctors exist. It is my job and duty to get you back to living life to the fullest. I do this by realizing that you are more than just a number, rather you are a person who has a body, mind, and spirit. I also enjoy learning about our natural environment and what it has to offer us in the realm of medicinal healing.

Medical Interests:

I enjoy learning all facets of medicine including Functional medicine, Regenerative medicine, Osteopathic Manipulation, and rural medicine. I would eventually like to volunteer with Doctors Without Borders and get paid to travel (cruise physician, Antarctica physician, rural tundra physician, etc.).

What drew you to CWFMR and/or Yakima:

Everything! I fell in love with Yakima when I saw the rolling hills, the mountains, the potential hiking and bicycling routes, the wine, and the people! Everyone I met was and still is so friendly and approachable. I feel comfortable calling Yakima home.

Personal Interest / Hobbies:

I love everything outdoors including hiking, bicycling, and river sports. I also enjoy traveling and savouring great food. Prior to medical school I owned my own landscaping business.
