Purpose of the Position: Provides direct care to patients in the clinic, hospital, and other care settings, with ambulatory care under the oversight of the Clinical Site Director, educates residents through precepting and formal teaching, performs assigned advising and curricular duties, and performs other duties to assure accomplishment of the mission of CHCW. Attends on Family Medical Services and/or Obstetrics Service as scheduled.

Hours: Full time; 40 hours per week; M-F, + FMS call and OB call

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited medical school and successful completion of an accredited residency. Current Washington State Medical License, Board Certified in Family Medicine or Osteopathic medical education and board Certified, Current DEA. Current BCLS and ACLS Card. Current driver’s license and auto insurance. Prior experience as a family physician with a combination of education, training, and experience that equates to a minimum of two years, full time, professional activity in the field of family medicine. Teaching and administrative experience in a family medicine residency program are highly desirable. Additional preparatory instruction (e.g. National Institute for Program Director Development, Physician in Management series, or Faculty Development Fellowship) is highly recommended. FQHC/CHC experience preferred but not required. Prior experience working with medically underserved populations and working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) preferred. No restriction from participation with the Medicaid or Medicare programs. Ability to obtain credentials from appropriate health plans, and to be covered by CHCW malpractice liability carrier. Bilingual in Spanish/English is preferred but not required.
