Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month

July is Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month, dedicated to making everyone aware that kids get arthritis, too! And while a lot of progress has been made in treating it, there’s still a lot more to do to get to the bottom of this painful and debilitating disorder. So this month, help spread awareness about the 300,000 kids nationwide who suffer from Juvenile Arthritis

ABOUT JUVENILE ARTHRITIS

The form of arthritis that these kids experience is not the same as grandma’s aches and pains. These children suffer from various autoimmune forms of arthritis. Their bodies’ immune system is attacking their joints, causing swelling, stiffness and permanent damage.

Signs and Symptoms

  • Joint pain
  • Swelling
  • Fever
  • Stiffness
  • Rash
  • Fatigue (tiredness)
  • Loss of appetite
