Our FREE Prescription Alerts give you the confidence that we’re taking care of your prescriptions to prevent wasted trips and surprises. When your prescriptions are ready, you’ll get a text or phone call letting you know.  And, if there is a delay, we’ll keep you informed of that as well.

Prescription Alerts will include:
  • Ready for Pick-Up:  We’ll let you know that your prescription is ready as soon as we’re done.
  • On its way:  Our pharmacies offer courier, delivery, and mail out services, if you use any of these services, we’ll let you know that your prescription has been processed and is on the way to you.
  • Keeping you informed:  Sometimes there are delays in completing your prescription, so we’ll keep you informed of all the following 
    • Refills requested from your prescriber
    • Insurance requiring authorization
    • Too soon on your insurance
    • Medication on order
    • Questions for your prescriber
    • Questions for you
    • Pick-Up Reminders:  We know that sometimes you may forget or get busy, so we’ll send you reminder notification every couple days if you have a prescription ready
    • Staying Healthy:  Our pharmacy teams provide a variety of health services that may be a benefit to you.  If you’re identified as a candidate or enrolled in one of our care programs, you may receive notifications to help you stay healthy.

      How do I sign up to get notified when my prescription is ready for pickup?

      You may enroll in notifications at the pharmacy, over the phone, or by submitting an online enrollment request.

      What types of prescription status updates will I receive?

      Can I choose what type of messages I receive?

      No, signing up for Prescription Alerts automatically enrolls you in both status updates and ready reminders.

      If I use this messaging service, will I start to receive unwanted call or text message solicitations?

      The phone number you provided is for pharmacy use only for notifications about your prescription and pharmacy related information.

      Can I request refills by text?

      Not yet, but soon.

      How can I see the price of my prescription?

      To protect your private information, we send a basic message. If you have any questions about the price or medication, please call the pharmacy directly. 

      I received a call or text from an unknown number.

      Your prescription alerts will come from a Yakima phone number that is different than our main pharmacy line. This phone number is a secondary line that is used only to send messages out. 

      • CWFM in Yakima will be sending notifications from (509) 955-2199
      • CHCW in Ellensburg will be sending notifications from (509) 317-6930
      I signed up for Prescription Alerts but I’m not receiving messages. How can I get help?

      There are several issues that can arise when using any messaging service, and they are beyond our control. Examples include cell phone signal “dead spots,” cell network disruptions, and Internet service disruptions.

      You should begin to receive messages on your next prescription order, if you aren’t receiving messages give us a call at the pharmacy. We’ll check your contact information and make sure everything is set up correctly.

      Why wasn't my prescription ready at the pharmacy after I received my alert?

      We send different types of prescription alerts. Please make sure you received an alert that said your prescription is “ready for pickup.” If you received a different type of alert, we may still be working on filling your prescription.

      Why did I receive more than 1 message?

      We send different types of prescription alerts to keep you informed. You may receive a message for delays to your prescription, when it is ready, or as a reminder that you have a prescription waiting for pick-up. 

      If you have multiple prescriptions in progress, you may receive more than 1 ready notification. 

      Spanish is my native language. Do you send messages in Spanish?

      We’ll send messages in Spanish if your profile indicates that Spanish is your preferred language. Speak with any pharmacy team member to check or update your profile.

      Why am I receiving some messages in English when I am signed up for Spanish messages?

      For certain messages, we currently only have the English option available. We are working on updating those, but you should continue to see most of your messages in Spanish.

      Do I need a certain mobile carrier for text alerts?

      Text alerts work with most mobile major carriers

      Why did I receive an automated call regarding my prescription?

      At some point, your phone number was enrolled to receive notifications regarding your prescriptions. If you do not want to receive notifications, please contact a member of our pharmacy team.

      How do I stop receiving prescription notifications?

      After you’ve enrolled, you can opt out at any time by letting the pharmacy team know via phone or in person.

      Will I receive messages for all my prescriptions?

      We will make every effort to consolidate messages if you have more than one prescription with us, but sometimes your prescriptions may get separated resulting in more than 1 notification.

      Can I change my phone number once I'm enrolled?

      Yes, please speak with any pharmacy team member at your pharmacy to update your number.

      Can I receive Prescription Alerts for family members or adults I manage prescriptions for?

      Yes, please speak with any pharmacy team member to update your family member or other adult’s profile.

      Will these messages count against the number of text messages in my messaging plan?

      This service generates a standard text message to your cell phone and depending on your messaging plan, standard charges may apply.
